Community Groups are groups of 8-12 people who do life together as they follow Jesus Christ.
It's a place where you can feel welcomed and accepted for who you are. It’s a place where your opinion is valued and confidentiality is respected. You’ll be challenged to grow spiritually by studying the Bible, but you won’t be embarrassed by being expected to know all the answers or pray in front of the group. You’ll make lasting connections with other group members and you’ll step outside of your comfort zone to serve people in our community.
What do Community Groups study?
All groups will walk through a sermon-based message series.
How often do Community Groups meet?
All groups meet weekly, and follow a school semester schedule, including a summer break.
Where do Community Groups meet?
Community Groups meet mostly in homes all across Galveston Island. Click here to search for a group near you!
Is childcare provided?
Not all Community Groups offer childcare, but there are options available. Some groups will have participants share responsibility in watching the children, split the cost for a sitter, or make other arrangements. You can browse groups that offer childcare here. In order to help offset the cost of childcare, we encourage a payment of $25/per child during each semester to help offset the cost of childcare. For questions, financial assistance, or additional Community Group childcare needs please contact Amy Wheeler at firstname.lastname@example.org
Groups are forming now and we still have room. Don’t miss the chance to join a group today!
